This opportunity is for you.

How can we convince you that this retreat is an experience you don't want to miss? Talk to Lions who attended one or more of the last four retreats - they'll tell you! The workshops are informative, the activities are fun (always something new), the relationships you build are lasting, the camp is beautiful, and we have lots of fun! Lions Camp Merrick is located on the Potomac River in Charles County, MD. It is approximately one hour from Washington, D.C. The site is beautiful with 300-year-old oak trees, the river, bald eagles, etc. Sleeping accommodations are screened cabins with multiple bunk beds. There is a bathroom in each cabin. Cabins have ceiling fans and a Potomac River breeze. Birdsong, PDG Rowe Haywood's version of "Reveille", and the aroma of PDG Bill Lynch's breakfast will greet you each morning. Evening brings a spectacular sunset and a campfire complete with all the marshmallows you can roast! If you are going to stay at the camp you should bring your own bedding (sheets/blanket/pillow or sleeping bag), towel and washcloth, and your own soap and shampoo. Dress is obviously casual. Bring comfortable clothes that you can adapt for warm days and cool evenings (you never know in September). If you are still just thinking about coming - call any one of the district leadership chairs and talk about your reservations. We want you there! Don't be left out this year!
