DISTRICT
22-C HONOR ROLL
The District 22-C Honor Roll
Awards has been established to honor individual
Lions and Lionesses who have rendered outstanding
service to their clubs and their communities at the
"Grass Roots" level over an extended period of
time, who exemplify the spirit of Lionism through
their unselfish dedication, and who are deserving
of district-wide recognition for their efforts in
support of Lionism.
ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA:
Lions and Lionesses who have
been members for at least five years are eligible
for nomination to the Honor Roll. Current members
of the District Cabinet and current Club Presidents
are not eligible and may not be nominated. Past
District Governors shall become eligible five years
after completing their term of office. Bull
Thrower's Award recipients shall become eligible
five years after receiving that award.
NOMINATION
PROCEDURES:
Each club may nominate one
member per year for the award. Nominations are to
be in writing, signed by the Club President or
Secretary, and shall explain the reasons the
nominee is considered deserving of the award by
providing a discussion of the nominee's service and
activities in support of Lionism. In addition, the
District Governor may submit up to five
nominations, none of who may be members of his own
club. Nominations may be made at any time during
the year, but should be submitted to the Vice
District Governor no later than April
1st.
SELECTION
PROCEDURES:
A committee, chaired by the
Vice District Governor and consisting of the
Lioness District Chairman and all Region Chairmen
shall select recipients of the award from among the
nominees. The number of award recipients selected
may not exceed twenty percent of the total number
of nominations.
AWARD
PRESENTATION:
Honor Roll Award recipients
will be announced by the District Governor at the
District Convention. The names of all recipients,
together with the names of their respective clubs,
shall be inscribed on a master plaque, which will
be updated each year and displayed at the
convention. Each recipient shall receive an award
certificate signed by the District
Governor.
