What
is a Leo Club?
A Leo club provides
Leadership, Experience and Opportunity for young
people in the community. A Leo club must be
sponsored by a local Lions club and must have an
individual Lion advisor assigned to it. The
sponsoring Lions club provides resources, as
needed, to support the development and growth of
a local Leo club and its program of
activities.
What
do Lions hope to achieve by establishing and
supporting Leo Clubs?
- Individual
character formation of young
people.
- Service to the
community through team work and
dedication.
- Cooperative
fundraising programs, community projects and
educational activities.
Lions
strive to make a community aware of its
obligations to youth by finding out what the
needs of youth are and helping to fill those
needs.
LEO Clubs
and other Lions youth programs conscientiously
encourage:
- respect
for oneself.
- respect
for the value and right of every
individual.
- acceptance
of responsibility for one's own
actions.
- fostering
an attitude of helpful service in the home,
school and community.
- development
of a spirit of international understanding
and cooperation.
