REFER TO THE DISTRICT ROSTER FOR THIS YEARS AWARD CRITERIA

The Awards Program for 2001-2002 has three parts: the Five Star Award, Special Recognition Awards, and the Governor's Exceptional Club Award. This Program encourages and supports local community activities, which are the heart of Lionism. Attaining them will take planning and effort.

THE FIVE STAR AWARD

There are five categories of activities, which a Club is to complete to receive this award: Category 1- Administration, Category 2 - Membership, Category 3 - Community Service, Category 4 - Information, and Category 5 - District. The requirements for each category are presented in the following paragraphs. There are four (4) general guidelines that apply to all categories:

1. Unless otherwise noted, the period for satisfying the requirements is May 1, 2001 through April 30, 2002;

2. For those requirements based on membership, the membership total reported in the May 2001 Membership Report will be used;

3. All Five Star Awards activities must be recorded on the Club's monthly Activities Reports; and

4. The District Governor has the final authority to provide clarification and arbitrate disputes concerning these requirements, in consultations with the Cabinet.

Category 1- Administrative Activities
